Infrared saunas warm your body directly unlike a traditional sauna which heats the air around you. Using Ceramic and metal panels, heat and light is created like the sun, producing energy that penetrates much deeper into your joints and muscles – without the UV damage.
Infrared saunas are more popular than traditional saunas because they provide a more comfortable heat. This allows people to stay in longer, and in turn get hotter, leading to a deeper sweat that excretes more toxins from your body as a result.
What Are Infrared Sauna Benefits?
The heat from an infrared sauna radiates and penetrates deeper into the skin than regular saunas, reaching joints, muscles and soft tissue. Because they operate at a lower temperature, longer sessions (which are optimal to achieve the desired health benefits) are more manageable.
How Do Infrared Saunas Work?
Sunlight is a combination of visible light and invisible rays such as infrared and ultraviolet. The sun radiates far-infrared energy that penetrates deeply into the skin and helps dissolve any unwanted substances in the body by activating sweat glands to detoxify and revitalise your cells and metabolism.
A full spectrum infrared sauna has deep penetrating heat that is far-infrared like the sun but also has near- and mid-infrared. You can control how much you want of each wavelength and for how long.
Metallic or ceramic elements heat the infrared saunas. These are what emit infrared light waves to produce dry heat.
Absorbs beneath the skin’s surface creating heat which produces sweat and promotes healing and revitalisation.
Penetrates deeper beneath the skin creating heat in the body’s soft tissue; increases circulation, and releases oxygen to injured areas.
