Floatation therapy takes place in a float tank filled with water and highly concentrated Epsom salts. This salt solution is heated to mirror your body temperature.
As if floating in the Dead Sea, the float tank creates a near-zero gravity state allowing people of any body shape or size to float effortlessly.
The enclosed pod creates an external sensory deprivation with nothing to see, hear, taste, smell or touch. Without stimulation, it’s effortless to slip into a meditative state and effectively revitalise your mind and body through deep relaxation and stress relief.
What Are Floatation Therapy Benefits?
Floatation therapy is an entirely surreal experience to offer physical pain relief and a deep state of meditation simultaneously, one that improves overall wellbeing. Float therapy is used for its benefits by professional athletes, pregnant women, those with stress or anxiety, those wanting to stimulate their creativity or just people who simply want to discover complete relaxation.

Stress Relief
Muscle Recovery
Magnesium is a powerful tool for recovery, and your body is immersed in a float tank of Epsom salt solution, so the mineral is rapidly absorbed through the skin to relieve tired and sore muscles. Eliminating gravity allows muscles and joints an optimal healing opportunity, and lactic acid, which creates stiffness, is released from the muscles quicker.

How Does A Sydney Float Tank Work?
Epsom salt is used inside float tanks to promote buoyancy. It also helps muscles relax and stops the skin from wrinkling in the warm water. 500 kilograms of Epsom salt is poured into the float tank which is filled with 600 litres of water. The tank is heated to 34.5°C.
Having the water at the same temperature as the body gives you the feeling of not being able to tell where your body ends and where the water begins, which leads to a sensation of complete engulfment and deeper relaxation.
Zero gravity relaxation means no concept of up or down, time, or space. The floating experience releases the body’s tension and stimulates the mind, resulting in a unique, fully meditative, relaxed state.

FAQS About Floatation Therapy, Sydney
We have 2 Dreampod v2’s. These are the industry standard alongside the isopod.
You should shower before your float session to ensure cleanliness and then shower post-session to wash off the salt.
One session is 60 minutes, but you can get out sooner if you’d prefer.
The more regularly you float, the better results you’ll notice, so at least once a week is optimal.
You can float in your swimming costume or go in bare as the float room is private. We provide ear plugs.
Some people may feel as if they have fallen asleep, but the likelihood of drowning is exceptionally slim. The water is so buoyant that you won’t sink or turn onto your side, and the intensity of the salt that might enter your eyes or mouth would wake you up immediately.
Important Things to Note
Pregnant women CAN perform floatation, and it has many benefits for both mom and baby.
You can eat a light meal about 90 minutes before your appointment if you’d like so your stomach won’t grumble and steal your attention. Just don’t go in on a full stomach.
Refrain from drinking coffee for at least four hours before your session so that you aren’t jittery in the tank.
Try not to book an appointment when you’ve freshly shaved or waxed because the salt water can irritate your skin.
Do not use a float tank if you have uncontrolled epilepsy.
Do not use a float tank if you have an infectious disease or open wounds.
Do not use a float tank if you have used drugs or alcohol, as this is a severe drowning risk.
